Nancy is located in north east France, in the Grand Est region. It’s known for baroque and art nouveau landmarks, from this former capital of the Lorraine Duchy. This includes the 18th-century Place Stanislas, with gilded wrought-iron gates and fountains.

These are photographs of a trip I took in Nancy with my wife Elena and her daughter, Yulia.
