New Castle Grounds§

Over a year ago they began repairing the grounds inside the castle in Milan. Before it was just dusty gravel, probably dolomite. This past week I took a walk through the castle and discovered that the project had been completed and rather nicely. The walk-ways have been paved with flat rock (maybe granite) with cobblestone edges, flanked by brick. There now are lawns and some large stone benches — actually the benches were there before, but now they’re in better locations. Click on the photo to see an enlarged copy of it.
