Lyon is the capital of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It’s located at the intersection of Rhône and Saône rivers. It has a wide range of historical sites and buildings: the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, as well as medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux Lyon.

These are photographs from two trips I took to Lyon: one by myself about fifteen years ago and another more recently with my wife, Elena and her daughter, Yulia.
