Photograph Search
Enter tags on which to search photographs. When giving multiple terms that you want to match all, separate the words with 'and'.
I'm still improving this search feature and adding more tags. For now, use singular versions of terms.
The search also accepts Italian terms.

Photography
This is a new page and section of my web site. I've become more involved in photography: buying better cameras, lenses, and other equipment. I've also been reading extensively and been experimenting in photography. To that end, I've set up this section dedicated to photography. Separate from this and overlapping are my photographs related to my travel. That section will focus more on travel and less on photography as an art form, per se.
Studio Lighting
To learn more about photography, I'm starting to experiment with studio photography. I'm not taking portrait shots of people. I'm experimenting with taking photographs of objects in an indoor setting. Related to this, I've recently began assembling some basic studio equipment. For one thing, I've ordered a studio strobe flash: the Esprit Gemini 200 from Bowens. They make some expensive studio flashes, but this is a low-end model. It's only 200 watts and not too expensive. I had to order it from Calumet out of London. I bought a stand and umbrella for it from a local photography store—one just a few blocks from my apartment in Milan. I also need to get a light meter and a few other minor items. Once I have everything I need, I'll take photographs to put on my sight to demonstrat what it can do.
Photography Books
To improve my skills in photography, I've been reading books on photography. As part of this new section of my web site, I will be providing reviews of the photography books that I've read. For the first one, I've written a review of a book on studio light—this goes with my recent purchases of lighting equipment. Look in the left margin for a link to each of my reviews.
