My grandmother's family is from Cinisi, Sicily. I made my first visit to Sicily this past Easter in 2007. This album contains photographs from my stay in Cinisi, which include photographs from family gatherings. It also includes photos from quick visits to neighboring Terrasini and Palermo. I intend to make many more visits to Sicily, at least two more this year.
One day during my brief stay in Cinisi, my cousin Nino Vitale took me into Palermo for a quick tour. As he told me, a full tour would take a week easily. I plan to come back to Sicily many times now that I've finally made here. So in future visits I'll slow down and see the sights in more details. This sub-album contains a few photographs of some of the things I saw there.
The coastal town of Cefalù is from where my maternal grandfather's family came.

Nearby Cinisi is the village of Terrasini. It has much better access to the coast and is a charming town. To take a break from the excessing eating of Pasqua, my cousin Agata Pizzo's husband, Damiano took me into Terrasini for a brief tour. Inspired by the same motivation of escaping the binge eating of Pasquetta, her brother Nino Vitale took me again to see more of the town. This sub-album contains a few pictures from those jaunts.
