One Sunday afternoon, my friend Kim Stiehl and I went to check out the town of Gorgonzola, located northwest of Milan. It’s the town from whence Gorgonzola cheese is named—but not where it’s generally made. It’s a nice town, but not much to see other than a canal and lock system and a some old buildings. There was on this particular Sunday a town fair in the Piazza Republica and a group baptism at the church.
